Verified and Unverified Models

Weavy hosts models from a variety of providers. To help users understand the different statuses each model has regarding training on user data and indemnity, we created a system that marks models as verified or unverified.

This classification helps you better understand how different third-party model providers handle your data.

What is a Verified model?

A model marked “Verified by Figma” means:

  • A contract is in place between Figma and the model provider.

  • Your content is used only to deliver the service to you.

  • Your content is not used for model training or improvement when accessed through Weavy.

  • The agreement between Figma(Weavy) and the provider includes contractual indemnity.

What is an Unverified model?

Unverified models are governed by the provider’s own terms and privacy policies. Unverified does not mean the model trains on your data. It means that data handling is defined by the provider’s published policies rather than a direct contractual agreement with Figma (Weavy).

For each unverified model, Weavy provides:

  • A link to the provider’s Terms of Service

  • A link to the provider’s Privacy Policy

You can review these documents to determine what fits your use case.

How to identify model status

Verified models display a “Verified by Figma” badge.
You can find the badge by hovering over the model using the left-side tool bar and looking at the right corner of the pop-up window.

If a model doesn’t have the "Verified by Figma" badge, it means it is unverified. You can find the model’s Terms of Service and Privacy Policy by hovering over the node and checking the links at the bottom of the node.

Running an Unverified Model

When running an unverified model on a self-serve individual plan (Free, Starter, or Pro), you will receive a notification when you attempt to run the model. You will need to confirm that you are aware the model is unverified. Once you approve this notice, you will be able to run the model normally.

Additional Information

This classification does not change how Weavy processes or stores your data. It simply adds transparency around how third-party model providers handle content.

No models are being removed or restricted. All models remain available in Weavy. Verification provides visibility and context, not limitations.

Unverified models can still be used for production work. Weavy does not block or limit their usage. The decision remains fully up to you or your team.

Expanding the list of verified models is an ongoing effort, and additional models may be verified over time.
