The Tool

Written by Noam Gichon

What is the Tool?

The Tool (formerly known as Design App) is designed to simplify your workflow. It allows you to build a custom design machine with your own chosen attributes, which you can then share with anyone. With the Tool, you can build a single workflow and generate infinite variations from it.

How to create a Tool?

You can build a Tool inside any existing workflow. How it works:

Add an Output node into your workflow and connect it to your end result.

The Tool tab will now be unlocked at the top of the canvas and ready to use!

The attributes visible in your Tool are generated from nodes that do not have an input (such as Prompt or Import Image nodes).

If you want to hide any of these attributes from the Tool view, you can lock them:

  • How to lock/unlock: Click the three dots (...) in the top-right corner of the node.

  • How to check status: Look for the lock icon next to the three dots to easily see whether a node is currently locked or unlocked.

Publishing the Tool

To publish your Tool, simply go to the Tool tab and click Publish.

Your Tool is now ready! To share it with other users, simply click the Share button in the top-right corner of the screen.

When you publish a Tool, only the users you share it with will see it in the Tool mode. As the creator, you will always see it in editable mode.

Shared users can switch modes to experiment with your workflow. If they make changes they want to discard, simply reopening your original shared link will reset it to the published version.

You can tweak your workflow without interfering with their live Tool. Once you are ready, simply click Publish again to push the updated version to your users.

Version Management

Each Publish automatically creates a timestamped version (including the name, date, and time). You can see exactly which version you are currently using right next to the Publish button.

Click on your current version's date to open a dropdown menu of all your past versions, then select any version to load it.

While you can’t edit previous versions of your tool, you are free to view and share them at any time.

Template Examples

The Tool might take a little getting used to, which is why we’ve built ready-made examples for you to duplicate, explore, and start using right away!
